“Switched at Birth” was a series of silly books featuring celebrities that vaguely resembled each other, that I saw most during the late 80s/early 90s. Until recently I assumed that everybody knew about the series, but it got a mention in a magazine project lecture recently (it was originally the brainchild of Spy Magazine) and I was the only person who recognized what Jim was talking about.
